El Auxiliar en Enfermería del Instituto Tecnológico San Agustín está en capacidad de proveer cuidados de Enfermería a pacientes bajo la orientación de enfermeros, médicos y otros miembros del equipo interdisciplinario de salud.

Existe en la actualidad una alta oferta laboral para el Auxiliar en Enfermería, debido principalmente al incremento de las Instituciones Prestadoras de Servicios de Salud, lo cual favorece y permite una inserción inmediata del egresado al mundo laboral.

Se desempeñan en el campo laboral como Auxiliares en Enfermería de hospitales, clínicas, consultorios y otras instituciones del cuidado de la salud o independiente.

¿Qué hace el técnico en Auxiliar en Enfermería?

  • Tomar presión sanguínea, temperatura y pulso, tomar muestras, distribuir medicamentos a los pacientes y realizar otros procedimientos de enfermería de rutina.
  • Apoyar en procedimientos tales como: terapias respiratorias, aplicación de compresas y remoción de suturas.
  • Observar el proceso de los pacientes y reportar cambios a los enfermeros, médicos y otros miembros del equipo de salud.
  • Asistir a los enfermos y a los médicos en la realización de procedimientos
  • Responder a las señales de llamada, vaciar recipientes, preparar a los pacientes para los tratamientos médicos y quirúrgicos, suministrar alimentos, supervisar ejercicios de rutina y ejercer otras funciones relacionadas con el cuidado de pacientes en el área de Enfermería.
  • Limpiar, esterilizar instrumentos y sala de operaciones
  • Esterilizar, preparar y responder por el material, equipos y elementos a su cargo.
  • Mantener el inventario y suministros de las habitaciones o áreas encargadas a Enfermería.
